Overview
Supporting the design and production of nationally televised sports broadcasts
During my internship with TNT Sports, I worked alongside the broadcast design team supporting live sports programming across multiple leagues and properties. While I occasionally designed promotional graphics from concept to final delivery, most of my internship focused on the production work that happens behind the scenes—preparing assets, organizing files, reviewing graphics for accuracy, and helping ensure deliverables were ready for air.
Working in a live television environment taught me that successful design depends just as much on precision, consistency, and collaboration as it does on creativity.

Featured Work
Designing graphics for live sports broadcasts
Throughout my internship, I contributed to multiple types of on-air graphics supporting both live broadcasts and promotional programming. While much of my role focused on the production pipeline behind the scenes, these examples highlight the variety of visual work I had the opportunity to contribute to—from marketing upcoming events to presenting live game information on air.

Promotional Graphics
Promotional graphics advertise upcoming games, tournaments, and programming across TNT Sports properties. Each piece was designed within established league and network brand systems while encouraging viewers to tune in.

Designed to promote the Stanley Cup Playoffs while maintaining the visual identity of TNT Sports' NHL coverage

Designed schedule-based promotional graphics for Unrivaled that balanced readability with bold league branding

Created promotional graphics highlighting upcoming Banana Ball broadcasts, adapting established branding for a playful and energetic campaign
Live Broadcast Graphics
Unlike promotional graphics, these assets support the live viewing experience by presenting scores, player statistics, interview layouts, and other contextual information in real time. Because these graphics often appear on screen for only a few moments, they prioritize readability, information hierarchy, and broadcast consistency.

Designed an information-dense graphic presenting game results, player statistics, and sponsor integrations while maintaining readability during live broadcasts.

Created a broadcast layout supporting simultaneous live interviews while balancing talent visibility, sponsor placement, and broadcast-safe composition.
Production Support
Supporting the broadcast production pipeline
While the examples above showcase finished graphics, much of my internship focused on the work that made those graphics possible. I supported the production process by preparing assets, organizing files, reviewing deliverables, and helping ensure graphics met broadcast standards before airing.
Preparing Broadcast Assets
Prepared player imagery, formatted logos, updated graphics, and organized production assets used across multiple broadcasts
Reviewing Graphics for Air
Reviewed typography, branding, schedules, sponsorship placement, and technical specifications before final delivery
Reflection
What I Learned
Broadcast design showed me that great work isn't defined solely by the graphics viewers see on screen. Behind every broadcast is a collaborative production process that depends on thoughtful systems, careful review, and attention to detail. Contributing across both creative and production tasks strengthened my ability to work within established design systems while delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
